Matt Thompson
Owner | Inspector, Certified HUD 203k Consultant
Matt Thompson brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, maintenance, and renovation to every inspection. His career began as a service technician, where he mastered the inner workings of a home's major systems, from electrical and plumbing to HVAC and structural components. That foundation led him into progressively responsible roles, including Maintenance Director and Project Manager for residential renovations, as well as becoming a licensed Home Inspector.
This diverse background has given Matt a deep, practical understanding of how homes are built, how they function, and what it costs to renovate a home properly, making him an ideal HUD 203k Consultant. He doesn't just inspect homes; he understands them from the inside out.
In addition to his professional experience, Matt served as a volunteer firefighter for more than 15 years. This role further sharpened his knowledge of building construction and fire safety, giving him valuable insight into what truly makes a home safe for its occupants.
When he's not inspecting or consulting, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young children. You'll often find them down by the river “not catching fish” and making a splash, or in the driveway working on a project and spinning wrenches.
